I test knitted a lovely fingerless glove/mitt pattern for Knitasaur, Turning a New Leaf.
It is a well written pattern and also includes charts. So if you are not a chart reader you can follow the written instructions. (Having the written instructions and a chart may help if you want to learn to read a chart. You can compare them as you knit.)
I used Knit Picks Elegance in Lilac. A wonderful DK weight yarn of sheer Elegance of 70% baby alpaca and 30% silk. I love the feel of this yarn. It is a joy to knit with and even more joy to wear!
It is fun to start a new project and watch as the pattern develops. What is interesting about this pattern is the way the thumb develops. You don't even realize the thumb is done and it is time to put the stitches on waste yarn! I love how the leaf pattern is part of the thumb.
I'll be knitting another pair of these... maybe in green?

A lovely pattern! Go check it out.
