Seduce: to win over; attract

Yarn seduces me with her siren call. "Pick me! Pick me!" I am hopelessly enchanted by yarn and am delighted by the endless choices.

Not much knitting done

I've been helping with the grandkids. Our daughter broke her wrist (in two places) while teaching gym class. So gramma to the rescue!

They have her arm immobilized so she can't turn her wrist or her arm. Well... it is surprising what you can't do with just one hand! and to have your dominate hand out of action makes it worse!!

So I have been busy. We managed to get the shopping done (I had to drive on I20! twice!!) (for those of you who know me, that is quite an accomplishment for me). We got the presents wrapped. We did some baking but we ate it all...sorry Santa. We'll have to bake some more.

I didn't get much knitting done but did manage to get the grandkids a pair of socks made.
She was actually happy I made her a pair of socks but didn't want to smile for the picture. He couldn't sit still long enough. It's funny they both wanted socks made out of the worsted weight yarn; they both can hardly keep socks on at all!! I get them dressed and into the car and before I back out of the driveway, they have their socks and shoes off! O'well... maybe they'll wear socks when they're older?

Ouch! Sorry about your daughter.
Love the blue socks, and don't you love knitting socks with worsted yarn -- goes so fast?
Merry Christmas to you Friend!

YOU are a fantastic grandmother! Those socks are beautiful! I feel so bad for your daughter. I broke my wrist when our kids were younger and I couldn't wrap gifts, slice cheese, make the bed - it was SO frustrating!
Happy Christmas, sweet SusanB!

It is all fun and games until someone breaks an arm! Poor daughter. How painful. But they have you to care for them. Enjoy your holidays and keep her from using that arm!
