Yarn seduces me with her siren call. "Pick me! Pick me!" I am hopelessly enchanted by yarn and am delighted by the endless choices.

BLACK ...the absence of all color.
Today is the final day in the 8 week mini meme COLOR hosted by Jen at unglazed.
BLACK can convey elegance, sophistication, or even a touch of mystery. BLACK can be seen as a restful emptiness from which anything may emerge. BLACK, the unknown, can provide a sense of potential and possibility.
I didn't realize the possibilities of how much BLACK there is surrounding us everyday until I started looking.
BLACK skies, BLACK birds, BLACK hair on Ellie, BLACK hat, BLACK shirt, BLACK train, BLACK appliances (yes, all my kitchen appliances are BLACK), BLACK tire, BLACK tattoo, BLACK lamp post, BLACK socks, BLACK mitts, BLACK yarn, and BLACKwork.
I hope you enjoyed this week's color BLACK. And don't forget to check Jen's sidebar for more posts on the color BLACK.
I have enjoyed participating in this mini meme. It was great fun looking for the colors and reading all the different posts about each color. Thank you Jen!
My grandmother taught me embroidery when I was eight. When I was ten, she taught me to crochet. I learned to knit (not well) in junior high. In the 70's, needlepoint became my next art. It was while living in Italy, my English friend started me knitting again. Knitting has been my passion ever since.
