But what do I have to blog about? nothing really.
I could tell you that :shudder: I have squash bugs in my squash. Which I am trying to deal with... sort of... but 'yew' bugs are yucky!!! They haven't gotten into the yellow squash which is coming along nicely but they have sucked the nutrients out of plenty of zucchini leaves leaving me with very few zucchini.
I could tell you about the Dream in Color Starry yarn I traded some of my yarn for... it's Cinnamon Girl... and I've wound it up so it is ready for the Wendy Johnson "It's a Mystery" Shawl. Which I won't be starting just yet. But I got the yarn ready.
I could tell you about the test knit I'm working on but I thought I'd leave that for WIP Wednesday.
I could tell you about a knitting book but I do not have any new knitting books to tell you about. And I'll post about the latest fiction book I'm reading tomorrow on Teaser Tuesday.
I could tell you about the really cool sock patterns I've added to my "collection" of sock patterns. But not all of you are
So I'll leave you with this knitterly thought of the day...
Really, all you need to become a good knitter are wool, needles, hands, and slightly below-average intelligence. Of course, superior intelligence, such as yours and mine, is an advantage. ~Elizabeth Zimmerman

I think I may be one of the sock addicts ....uh, I mean...sock lovers you mentioned. LOL
Sorry about the squash bugs. We've been dealing with aphids in the pepper plants. Ewwwwwwwwwwww. I do want to stay organic, but these aphids are testing my resolve to do so.
Bugs in the garden are such a hassle. It is frustrating to see your hard work being eaten up by little creepy crawlies.
Count me among those sock lovers too!
I love that quote. I am glad you reminded me of it!
EZ always had it just right!!!!
:D Carla
You can go on and on and on about socks! I love it! Guess what knitting book I ordered? Knit the Royal Wedding. I hope it comes before my husband gets home because he'll surely make fun of me for my knitting book addiction then!
EW! Bugs! I get the same way. :P
Dee, have you tried any natural pesticides to get rid of your aphids? I've had luck with both garlic based and hot pepper based sprays I've made. You can email me for recipes if you want.
