Seduce: to win over; attract

Yarn seduces me with her siren call. "Pick me! Pick me!" I am hopelessly enchanted by yarn and am delighted by the endless choices.

It's a mystery

It's a mystery why I like mysteries so much.  Or maybe not.  Maybe I like the unknown and the surprises it brings with each turn of a page in a good mystery book or getting a clue once a week for a mystery knit.

Of course my favorite is Mystery Socks!
Through the Loops 2012 Mystery Sock, Clue 1
Yes, this is the same sock I tried to start when I had a fever.  I know, I know, Clue 2 has come out and I don't have it finished yet and today Clue 3 has come out.  I've been busy on some other mystery knitting.

Like...
MinKnits Mystery Fingerless Mitts Clue 2
(Notice how I skipped right over showing you Clue 1?  It was only a little bit of cuff anyway.  I'm using some leftover Rowan Creative Focus Worsted.  And yes, they will go with my black and red scarf.)

And then I've been working on my favorite pattern this month
SKA Mystery Sock, Blathnat, Clue 2
Clue 3 is out today and yes! I will be working on these socks today!!  (the yarn is more green than the picture shows but then I never said I was a photographer, hehehe.  I'm more like SuzyHomeMaker, hahahahha)

Thanks for the Blathnat photo. That inspires me to at least knit while I don't feel up to much more today!

Very nice! I always love the TTL patterns although this year I didn't succumb and will probably be sorry. Did you get my email? Hopefully it didn't end up in spam...sent it a while ago. Thanks for visiting my blog!

I love all the patterns, but Blathnat is GORGEOUS! I'm really going to have to give that one a try.

I am over here from Judy S.'s blog because I figured any blog called "seduced by yarn" was something I needed to check out. Seduced is the word! I'm a casual knitter because quilting is really my primary passion but I do love yarn and can hardly resist it when I go anywhere it is sold! Your sox are just great.

Oh, a really meant to say: there is something about stitchers (whether it's quilting, knitting, whatever) and mysteries. Is it because we like to figure things out: quilting patterns, knitting patterns, etc? You're not a librarian are you (I am) - because they seem to be drawn to mysteries and stitching, too.

Susan You really are accomplished. I Lov show you do the socks two at a time. A very good idea with such intricate charts/repeats. I LOVE the blathnat socks. How do these mysteries work? You just get a part of the pattern or do you have to FIGURE out part of th e pattern???

I got caught up in mystery knits last year. I can't explain why I'm so drawn to them. Love your projects. The Blathnat socks are lovely. Can't wait to see the next clue.
