Seduce: to win over; attract

Yarn seduces me with her siren call. "Pick me! Pick me!" I am hopelessly enchanted by yarn and am delighted by the endless choices.

It's Groundhog Day!!

And Punxsutawney Phil sees his shadow! (it's no wonder... the sun is out... and it's freaking 75+ degrees here at the edge of the desert in Texas!!)

So there ya have it, six more weeks of winter. (can we get some here?!)

We've had at least a week of winter if you add it all up, so six more seems a bit much, especially since we're also having a sunny afternoon with unseasonably high highs...

It's been a crazy winter here too. We're having a sunny, bright, warm day. I'm not sure what six "more" weeks of winter means.

We've had a little bit of winter here, but it has been really mild compared to some years. I hope the mild stuff continues, but I guess I'll take whatever we get. :D

We've had an unusually warm winter up here, and not much snow. The last five years we've been dumped on (set all kinds of new snow records), but this year? It was 50 degrees on Tuesday. In January! That's about 25 above what it's supposed to be.

Needless to say, it wasn't much of a surprise when our local groundhog, Jimmy, declared an early spring. And in honor of Groundhog Day, I'm talking Groundhogs on my blog today.
