Seduce: to win over; attract

Yarn seduces me with her siren call. "Pick me! Pick me!" I am hopelessly enchanted by yarn and am delighted by the endless choices.

Goodies...

Hurray for Mail today!! (okay so it was actually yesterday's mail but we get our mail late in the day and I couldn't post 'til now)

HAPPY 4th ANNIVERSARY SIMPLY SOCK YARN COMPANY!!

I've been stalking watching for the 4th anniversary yarn for Simply Sock Yarn Company (SSYC) to come out. So when I saw this year's anniversary yarn was being dyed by Schaefer Yarn in the Heather yarn base, I had to order two!! One for a scarf and another for socks! The colors are gorgeous! The yarn has beautiful sheen and the silkiness is a dream to knit.

I am working on another Undulating Waves Scarf using Schaefer Heather in Nancy Ward (greens/browns) and when I saw the Anniversary Yarn, I knew it would make a beautiful scarf (with beads).

So I went to EarthFaire for beads. I found the perfect pink beads to go with this yarn. (my picture does not do justice to the wonderful bright pink in the yarn and the pink beads, trust me, they are perfect together!)

BUT... while at EarthFaire... I looked at their "Specials" page...
They have a wonderful Gloves and Scarf kit on sale!! You know how much I luv fingerless gloves and well, this one has a scarf to match!! The kit comes with enough yarn and beads to make either the gloves or the scarf. You have to buy another skein of yarn to do both (and more beads which I forgot to buy). So yes, I couldn't just order the pink beads, I also ordered the kit and an extra skein of yarn.
It is gorgeous too! I am so happy with both yarns. I can't wait to start knitting with them BUT I have a couple of projects on the needles I need to finish first.

(about the extra beads for the scarf/gloves: I thought I had some white pearl beads in 6mm but it seems the ones I have are 8mm. darn the bad luck! I'll have to order some more beads! 'snicker, snicker')

I love great mail days! I am currently in NY and they are having a Schaefer Yarn tour here at the factory. It is going on the weekend after I leave though:( I think you even get to dye a skein of Anne!!! I wish I knew that when I bought the tickets a few months back. The yarn looks lovely that you got though! Can't wait to see what you make with it.
