What do you do when it's a cold Saturday and the grandkids are visiting? (and you've already played board games, worked jigsaw puzzles, colored pictures, played hide n' seek)
You make cupcakes!!
I had two helpers that added the ingredients, stirred it up (lots of stirring 'cause I haven't bought a mixer yet), and put the batter into the paper liners. They had a great time!
But the best part was licking the bowl!!

What cutie pies! Grandma sounds like fun! Can I have a cupcake? I need one after the day I had today - some peoples' eighth grade grandkids don't behave very well!
Yes! you can have a cupcake too!!
They look pretty clean for CHOCOLATE Cupcakes, and so does your kitchen. I guess without mixer spatterin it would be...huh? You're a CupCake of a Grandma!
I'm sure you already know,Sue,that they'll never forget these times spent playing with Grandma and your fixing them cupcakes. I have grown nieces and nephews whom my mom played countless games of Pacheesi with. They can still mimic her evil cackle when she was winning ;)
We moved a lot, too, when I was growing up. 13 schools by the time I finished h.s. So,yes, old friends are a rare commodity for me~
