Seduce: to win over; attract

Yarn seduces me with her siren call. "Pick me! Pick me!" I am hopelessly enchanted by yarn and am delighted by the endless choices.

Color of the Month

Orange! one of the happiest, most energizing colors. Just seeing orange douses grumpy feeling by lighting up the brain region that regulates mood.
According to Wikipedia, orange is halfway between red and yellow. You can find more interesting orange facts on their webpage.
Interestingly enough, I do not have any orange socks. (surprised?!) Which will be remedied this month.

Also, interestingly (or maybe not to you), I am not much of a morning person.

I am better off left alone in the mornings until I've had a chance to wake up. Usually after a cup or two of tea!!

It doesn't help that when Ellie wants up she sticks her nose in your face! Does not help with Prickly, grumpy, morning me!! And you can't just roll over... she jumps over you and does it again! When she wants up, she wants UP!

So... now that I am UP, on my second cup of tea... I am pondering... Canna start another sock?! Should I?

Self says, "why yes, you Canna start one. Why not? You don't have any orange socks. The challenge for the Ravelry Solid Sock group is orange. You can double dip with the Ravelry SKA (Sock Knitters Anonymous) group by knitting orange socks in a pattern by Stephanie Van Der Linden. AND, you need to add socks to your socks drawer; it is pitifully lacking."

So now I'm Impatient to get started!!

As you can see, I've already wound the yarn.

Self has already justified all the other sock wips waiting their turn to be worked on. (I'll take the month of August to work on them)

AND, I'm feeling less grumpy after looking at all this orange.

So...

I'd like to give a BIG thank you to my friend and art consultant extraordinaire CollectInTexas Gal for the use of her gorgeous orange flower pics. Check out her blog! She has some beautiful pictures and some amusing amazing stories!!

"Knock, knock"  "Who's there?" "Banana" "Banana who?"
"Knock, knock" "Who's there?" "Banana" "Banana who?"
"Knock, knock" WHO'S THERE?" "Orange" "Orange who?" "Orange you glad I didn't say Banana?"

hahahahahahhehehehehehhahahahahehehehehahahahahehehehehahahahahehehehehahhahahahhehehhehahahah
(I must need another cup of tea...)

Hee hee -- love that old knock knock joke!
I'm working on a pair of socks in the bluebell pattern from "Sensational Knitted Socks" (love that book!) and using the Panda cotton blend yarn you recommended -- love it! Once again, the best of advice from you, Miss Knitting Guru!
Blessings,
G

Love the orange (and the joke)! But I really like you on Sue's Pink Saturday Post on CollectInTexas Gal. Looks like the two of you really got into the rose pruning.
