a cable block (will become part of a blanket)
a fingerless mitt
felted bag
I think this year will be the year of fingerless mitts, lol. I have quite a few planned. And I will be knitting socks (of course!)

WIP Wednesday
Just a few pictures of what I've been working on this week...
Hagrid's Motorcycle Socks...
a mystery kal
more details here
Blackwork
Just a sample of blackwork for a class I'll be teaching for the local Embroidery Guild Association
(I'm almost done with the bookmark)
Another knitted square.
Yes, in black. Yes, it can be hard to see the stitches. (especially for a pattern I have not done before)
It will be easier once I've done a few more rows and memorized the pattern. (I think)

Sock voting is now over
Sock voting ending last night at midnight. So I am patiently waiting to hear the results.
To catch you up with what's been happening this past week:
I had a big scare on Tuesday when I heard a LOUD bang and the electricity went out. A bird had landed (or flown into) the powerlines outside and blew the transformer. The electric company was very efficient and had it fixed within 45 minutes! I was impressed. At the time the electricity went out, I was busy making scones. Good thing I hadn't mixed all the ingredients and had them in the oven!!!
I finished listening to the cds of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azcaban by J K Rowling.
I finished a square for the Friendship Blanket.
I finished one and almost done on the other of a pair of fingerless mitts.
I finished reading The Colorado Kid by Stephen King.
I started reading Blackwork by Monica Ferris.
I played numerous games of spider solitaire and pyramid solitaire on the computer.Oh and some Sponge Bob game also. (trying to earn enough coins to move to the gold level).
Watched a lot of baseball, GO Rangers!! In first place by 9 games! Woohoo!!
So I have kept busy for the week when you add in cooking and cleaning. I'll post some pictures later. And I'll be sitting on pins and needles waiting to hear the results of the Sock Contest.
:whispers: I did start a new sock
and no, it is not in the Solid Sock color of the month, yellow
