Ellie had her hair cut this week

The rose bushes had their "haircut" today

And I get my haircut next week.  It's a cycle... it'll all start over again. I'd let my hair grow long except it's so dang hot here

Ellie agrees, it's HOT!

Hot! Hot! Hot!

We have had some HOT temperatures this week. Yesterday was a record breaking 106 degrees!
Even the birds wanted out of the heat...

We hung this line under the covered patio to hang our wet bathing suits and towels. The wild birds think we did it for them, lol. Even when we took the line down, they still managed to find a place to perch!!

 Today it is 100... so far...
We are watching the Texas Rangers and Tampa Bay. It is 105.3 on the field! I can't imagine playing baseball in that kind of heat, in Arlington TX, where there is more humidity than we have here. The Rangers are losing. I'd like to say it's because of the heat but it's not. They played yesterday afternoon, in this high heat, and they won.

Summer is here early.

Water Babies

The grandkids came to visit for the holiday. They got here Wed night and even before they gave hugs they were sticking their feet in the pool. Next came the knees and slowly they eased into the pool (they thought they were being sneaky but I knew they wanted in the water!)
So while mom and dad unpacked the car, gramma and the kids were in the pool.

The next morning they got up and immediately wanting to go swimming! before breakfast!!
We made them wait a little while...

He liked walking around the pool and she put on the water wings and swam all over the pool!

Mom and Dad helped. The kids took some swimming lessons at the Y. They had to show gramma and grandpa what they learned.

They loved the pool and probably would have stayed in there the whole time but it was hot here!!

We had a good visit and look forward to when they come back.
